Lee & Hayes, PC is seeking an IT Support Technician to work 40 hours per week in our Spokane office from 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm. This position will be responsible for assisting employees with all desktop hardware and software support. The IT Support Technician is required to work across departments and firm offices to enrich customer experience.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists in providing direct support with users for desktop hardware and software issues.
- Perform installations and upgrades of software on laptop computers.
- Independently identify and resolve less complex problems immediately. Identify and promptly forward more complex problems to appropriate team members.
- Proactively recognize, research, isolate, and resolve actionable tickets.
- Creates, maintains, and modifies all employee phone systems adds, removes, and changes.
- Log problems into the ticket management system from live calls, email, instant messages, and in person discussions.
- Maintain current knowledge of standard supported technology.
- Proactively seek information to increase knowledge with the assistance of the larger IT team.
- Suggest ideas for improving user relationships.Recognize changing user needs and suggest appropriate action.
- Assist in the maintenance of IT documentation and ticket management system. Verify the accuracy and completeness of documentation.
- Send notification messages to the appropriate users regarding system problems and maintenance.
- Maintain user accounts, email accounts, and distribution lists.
- Assist with product testing.
- Collaborate with members of the IT team to meet department objectives.
- Assist with conference room technology setups, including computers, video conferencing equipment, and conference call equipment.
- Build and configure computers for new and existing employees, along with tracking of company assets.
- Relocating IT equipment where necessary.
- Set up network and database accounts.
- Arrange, set up and monitor video teleconferencing meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Technical degree or 1-3 years’ experience preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications, are required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including phone etiquette, are required.
- Requires the ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete under time constraints.
- Must be able to provide accurate and detail-oriented work products consistently.
- Demonstrates a willingness to help others and provide the highest quality of service while maintaining a positive, professional attitude.
- Ability to lift and carry computer equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The hourly wage for this position in Washington is $23.00 to $27.00. The base wage for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, market factors, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
